Rex Sallee.

Carol attended Science Hall and Tylerville Country school and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1948.  She continued her education at Western Illinois University, graduating in 1952 with her Bachelors Degree in Home Economics.  She taught Home Economics for four years, then returned to teaching elementary classes in the Alexis Community Unit 400, retiring in 1992.

Carol was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, always caring for her family.  Her deep faith and personal relationship with the Lord began at the Coldbrook Christian Church.  She was a long-time member of the Alexis United Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women’s Organizations and served as a Deacon for several terms.  She was a member of the Kelly Patches and Pans Units of Warren County, Chapter G PEO, and the former Warren-Henderson County Home Extension.  Carol enjoyed the outdoors, helping with the family greenhouse, cooking, reading, sewing, quilting, knitting, and playing Bridge.  But most of all, she loved all the home and community education of all her family and friends.
