Donald K. “Fish” Fisher, 63, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 7:37 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home.
He was born on October 14, 1954 in Peoria, IL, the son of James Keith and Jessie Alta (Griggs) Fisher. Don was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Warren High School in 1972.
Fish married Allison Urbanski on May 1, 1988 in Monmouth and she survives.
Fish worked for Ameren for over 30 years as a polyphase meterman. He was the drummer, vocalist, and a founding member of Eternity Road for 46 years. Don enjoyed playing golf, fishing, mushrooming, rafting, bowling, but most of all; he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving Fish are his wife, Allison Fisher of Monmouth; two daughters, Jayme Fisher and Samantha Fisher, both of Monmouth; one brother, Dave (Debbie) Fisher of Monmouth; one sister, Jessie Clark of Monmouth; mother-in-law, Annette Urbanski of Midlothian, IL; sister-in-law, Lisa (Dominic) Fucciolo of Grand Ledge, MI; brother-in-law, Jason (Heather) Urbanski of New Lenox, IL; nephews; Will Best and Griffin Urbanski both of New Lenox, IL, Mike (Heather) Fisher of Monmouth, IL, Michael Fucciolo and Alex Fucciolo both of Grand Ledge, MI; 5 nieces; Amelia Urbanski of New Lenox, IL, Deena (Chris) McLaughlin of Monmouth, IL, Mandy Fisher of Monmouth, IL, Chandra (Tony) Ingram of Louisville, KY, and Becky Wall of Monmouth, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Zachary Keith Fisher and his father-in law, Leonard Urbanski.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home, Monmouth, with a tribute service beginning at 7:00 pm where attendees are invited to share memories. Memorials may be given to the Don “Fish” Fisher Memorial Fund.
