Paul "Will" W. Fredrickson

January 2, 1958 ~ January 31, 2019 (age 61)

Paul W. “Will” Fredrickson, 61, of Little York, IL, passed away at 5:50 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at his home. 

He was born on January 2, 1958 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Paul W. and Ruth (Burns) Fredrickson.  Will was raised and educated in rural Little York, IL, graduating from Yorkwood High School in 1976.  He later graduated from Diesel Mechanics School.

Will married Terri Hartzell in Monmouth, IL on March 12, 1989.

Will owned and operated Fredrickson Diesel Service and helped on the family farm.  He worked as a Black Jack dealer at the Catfish Bend Casino and was currently working for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources in the grounds and maintenance department at Snake Den Hollow near Victoria, IL.

He enjoyed farming and mowing at the farm along with his tractor collection.  Will liked to travel and loved to sing.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Paul (Sara Hull) McVey of Little York, IL, Rachel (Deric) Thrasher of Quincy, IL, Victoria (Matt) Lovdahl of Monmouth, IL, Bethany (Zach) Scanlan of Monmouth, IL, and Grace Fredrickson of Little York, IL; 5 grandchildren, Jacob Waller, Carson Thrasher, Wyatt Thrasher, Nash Lovdahl, Huxley Scanlan and one on the way;  his mother, Ruth Fredrickson of Galesburg; 2 brothers Chris (Peggy) Fredrickson of rural Monmouth IL, and Todd (Pennee) Fredrickson of Rio, IL; family friend, Guy Mitchell of Monmouth; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul W. Fredrickson, and one sister, Diane Murdock.

Graveside services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
