Charles I Rockwell

Charles I. Rockwell,84, of Monmouth, IL died at 7:24 am Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his home.

Charles was born February 12, 1933 in Ipava, IL the son of Ghlee and Margaret (Inman) Rockwell. He was raised and educated in Macomb, IL.

Charles served with the United State Marine Corps during the Korean War raising to the rank of Sergeant.

Charles worked as a truck driver and a paper mill worker.

He was a life member of the VFW post in Orion, IL and a life member of D.A.V. in McMinnville OR.

and his dear friend and significant other, Mary Hasting of Monmouth.

Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Rockwell of Dye, IN and brother, Ralph Rockwell of Moline, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Charlotte Rockwell Miller and Pat Rockwell Eillis.

Cremation has been accorded. A private burial will military honors will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
