Conor Greenlief

Sep 8, 2017 — Aug 4, 2026

Jacksonville, NC

Conor Greenlief, 8, of Jacksonville, NC passed away on August 4, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him beyond measure and a place in their lives that can never be filled.

Conor was born September 8, 2017, in Fredericksburg, VA, the son of Mark Greenlief.

He was a beautiful and unforgettable little boy. Conor loved Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and could always get excited about Little Caesars Pizza. These were some of the little things that made him happy and unmistakably Conor. The familiar routines, favorite things, expressions and moments his family will remember forever.

Conor had an extraordinary ability to find happiness in the smallest things. He reminded everyone around him that joy does not have to be complicated, sometimes the simplest things in life are the most meaningful.

More than anything, Conor was one of five brothers. The five boys grew up together, played together, learned together, laughed together, annoyed one another, looked after one another, and accumulated the ordinary everyday memories that eventually became some of the most precious things a family possesses.

There are children who leave an impression because of the things they say. Conor’s life taught us something different, he showed us that love does not always require words. Love can be a little hand gently touching your face. It can simply be sitting beside someone and knowing you understand one another. That was Conor. Eight years was nowhere near enough.

His family will forever grieve everything that was lost with him, but they will also spend the rest of their lives celebrating the little boy who was here.

Surviving Conor are his father, Mark (Tia) Greenlief of St. Cloud, FL; his brothers, Ethan, Gavin, Aidan and Liam, all of Jacksonville, NC; his Paternal grandparents, Dave (Deb) Greenlief of Monmouth, IL; Paternal Step grandmother, Elizabeth Guin of Melbourne, FL; Paternal Step grandfather, Jeffrey Minkwic of Central Lake, MI; Uncles, Matt (Kayla) of Monmouth, and Jake (Cecilia) Greenlief of Overland Park, KS; extended family and the many people whose lives were touched by this remarkable little boy.

Cremation has been accorded. Services will be announced and held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Autismspeaks.org and sent to the funeral home.
