Danny L Greenstreet, Jr

Danny L Greenstreet, Jr., 51, of Rushville, formerly of Monmouth, fought and ended his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

He made his grand appearance into the world on September 3, 1965, the son of Danny L. and Barbara (Strange) Greenstreet, Sr., in Monmouth, IL, where he would spend many years causing havoc and creating ever lasting memories. In 1983 he became a Monmouth High School graduate and would forever carry Zipper pride.

In 1985 he married Stacey K Burgess of Monmouth, and later married his forever wife Ann (Harvey) Greenstreet on April 17, 2004, who he forever loved.

He spent his final working years working at DOT Foods in Mt Sterling. Some of his favorite things were spending time with his grandkids, sometimes teaching them questionable things, making people laugh, painting, watching TV with his two Boston Terriers, and convincing people that he was Superman. He was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan and shared this passion with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Ann Greenstreet, Rushville; two daughters both of Monmouth, Amber (Tobias) Piper and Jodie (William) Martin; Three Step Children, Robert Danes, Jessica Danes, and Andrew Danes; Father Danny (Georgette) Greenstreet of Simi Valley California; Step Father Clarence Deisinger of Monmouth; two brothers Kevin (Eva) Greenstreet of Beardstown, Brian (Francene) Greenstreet of Monmouth; Mother of his children Stacey K Burgess of Monmouth, Five grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and two of man's best friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation will take place after the visitation.
