David L. "Chip" Campbell

David L. “Chip” Campbell, 40, of Little York, IL died at 11:13 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth.

He was born on January 25, 1977 in Monmouth, IL, the son of David Robert and Carolyn Elaine (Robbins) Campbell. David was raised and educated in Little York and graduated from Yorkwood High School in 1995. He later attended Carl Sandburg College for two years.

David married Cindel Diephuis in Knox County, IL on May 21, 2016, she survives.

David worked construction with his father and brother before becoming a CNA and LPN; he worked at the Aledo Health Care & Rehab Center in Aledo, IL. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, going to the river, and spending time with his children and family.

Surviving David is his wife, Cindel Campbell of Little York, IL, eight children; Autumn Campbell, Brendon Campbell, Montanna Diephuis, Elizabeth Diephuis, Latrisha Diephuis, Karlee, Dawson, Connor Dawson, Hunter Dawson; his mother, Carolyn Campbell of Monmouth, IL; one brother, Charlie (Tonya Corey) Campbell of Monmouth, IL; two sisters, Nina Campbell of Keithsburg, IL, McKenzie Campbell of Monmouth, IL; nieces, nephews, several cousins, aunts, uncles, and paternal grandmother, Alberta Campbell of Keithsburg, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandfather, James Campbell; and maternal grandparents, Chuck and Mary Robbins.

Memorial Services will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Keithsburg Christian Church, Keithsburg, IL. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be prior to the service from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to the David L. Campbell Memorial Fund.
