Donald "Don" E. Aden

Donald “Don” E. Aden, 81, of Alexis, IL, passed away at 5:45 a.m., February 28, 2017 at his home.

He was born on November 26, 1935 in Akron, OH, the son of Leo E. and Verla M. (Millard) Aden. Don graduated from Roseville High School in 1953.

Don owned and operated B&B Cafe in Alexis for over 50 years. He enjoyed being in the country and mowing. He loved spending time with his family and children, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving Don are his six children; Christine Aden of Bettendorf, IA, Cathleen (Joe) Romano and Craig Aden both of Monmouth, James (Bonnie) Aden of Alexis, Thomas (Kathleen) Bailey of Elmwood, IL, and Terry Bailey of Alexis, IL, Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters; Joyce (Larry) Nichols of Peoria, IL and Janice (Larry) Luttrell of St. Petersburg, FL.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Delbert R. Aden.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services planned at this time. Memorials can be made to the Don Aden Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 191 Alexis, Illinois 61412. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
