Donald E. Ricketts

Donald E. Ricketts, 76, of Monmouth died at 1:18 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth.

He was born February 14, 1937 in Monmouth the son of Granville and Marian (Swan) Ricketts.

Donald worked for a time at Achievement Industries in Monmouth.

He enjoyed sitting outside and watching the birds.

Survivors include his brother in law, Albert Martin of Galesburg; along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Winifred Martin, Betty Formick and Margaret Clark; brother, Granville Ricketts Jr..

Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services will be 1:30 P.M. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Achievement Industries, 1314 S. Main St. Monmouth. Burial in Monmouth Cemetery will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established to be designated later. Arrangements are being handled by McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, 734-6008.
