Fidencio Avalos-Ramirez

Fidencio Avalos-Ramirez, 81, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:20 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

He was born on November 20, 1936 in Tejao Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Silvestre and Carmen (Ramirez) Avalos.  Fidencio was raised and educated in Mexico.

Fidencio married Sara Medina on August 23, 1956 in Mexico; she proceeded in him in death on September 13, 2016.

Fidencio worked as a bus driver in Mexico until his retirement in 2005.  He enjoyed gardening, watching soccer, and most of all, spending time with his children and family.  He was a great husband and father.  Fidencio was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth.

Surviving him are his children, Carmen Avalos of Monmouth, Pablo (Elena) Avalos of Mexico, Antonio (Concepcion) Avalos of Beardstown, IL, Alfredo (Rosa) Avalos of Monmouth, Fidencio Jr. (Rosa) Avalos of Monmouth, Jorge (Gloria) Avalos of Monmouth, Gabriel (Ana) Avalos of Beardstown, IL, Armando (Nanci) Avalos of Beardstown, IL, Laura Avalos of Mexico, Rodrigo Zamora of Monmouth, and Sarahi (Josh) Pierce of Monmouth, and his mother, Carmen Ramirez of Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his father, wife, and one daughter, Guadalupe Avalos.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be at Noon, Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church, Monmouth.  Interment will be in Mexico.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-11:45 a.m. at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Memorials can be made to the Fidencio Avalos-Ramirez Memorial Fund.
