Gary L. Hardesty

Gary L. Hardesty, 71, of Racine, WI, formerly of Monmouth, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 in Racine, WI.

Gary was born May 15, 1945 in Monmouth, IL the son of Charles and Mary (Isreal) Hardesty. He was raised and in Monmouth and graduated from Warren High School in 1963. Gary was a hard working father that took a great deal of pride in his family. He was proud to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service Gary enjoyed a successful career as an electrician in the construction trades.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Laurie (Robert) Joseph of Racine, WI and Cathy Hardesty of Sebring, FL; grandchildren, Corey Joseph of Kenosha, WI, Caryn Joseph of Union Grove, WI, Annie Joseph, Mike Frost and Nicole Joseph all of Racine, WI; and his great grandson, Nolan Betchkal. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Bob (Lyn) Hardesty, Vickie (Allen) Crane, Dick (Julie) Hardesty, Steve (Sally) Hardesty and Dave (Lori) Hardesty; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery.
