Jeremy E. Weir

Jeremy E. Weir, 41, of rural Kirkwood, IL, died at 5:06 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his home.

He was born on December 2, 1976 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Donald E. and Mary Ann (Bell) Ward. Jeremy was raised and educated in Monmouth and Avon and graduated from Avon High School.

Jeremy was working as a farm hand at Nulls Farm in Blandinsville, IL. He previously worked at Fastenal in Galesburg, IL and the Daily Review Atlas in Monmouth, IL. Jeremy was a New York Giants fan, and loved spending time with his children.

Surviving Jeremy are his children, Kaitlyn Weir, Brittany Weir, Hannah Weir, Sophie Weir, Aubrey Weir, and Emily Weir all of Monmouth; his mother, Mary A. Ward of Kirkwood, IL, his significant other Michelle Meehan of Monmouth; one brother, Lester (Missy) Weir of Monmouth; and one sister, Angie (Henry) Hugel of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are two nephews, Logan (Jessica) Weir of Monmouth, Adam Hugel of Chicago, IL; three nieces, Kenzie Weir of Monmouth, Lindsey Paul of Chicago, IL, Ashley Paul of Chicago, IL; two great nephews, Eli, Laken; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Michael Ward.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be from 10:00a.m.-12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation rites will be accorded following the gathering. Memorials can be made to the Jeremy Weir memorials Fund.
