Kathryn L. Cohoon

Kathryn L. Cohoon, 74, of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Aledo Heath Care Center, Aledo, IL.

She was born July 7, 1945 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of George Lester and Mildred (West) Davis.  She was raised and educated in Alexis, IL graduating from Alexis High School in 1964.

Kathryn married Immanul Peretti in Seattle WA on July 31, 1965.   She later married Fred C. Cohoon in Monmouth, IL on September 28, 2002; he preceded her in death on February 5, 2019.

Kathryn worked for Sears as a customer services representative for 14 years before retiring.

She was of Christian Faith and enjoyed genealogy.

Survivors include her  two sons, Philip (Alissa) Peretti of Kent, WA and Paul (Stefanie) Peretti of Wiesbaden, Germany; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Trial; one cousin, Barb (Terry) Byrd of Pekin, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Shafer; brothers, Homer Lester Davis and Phillip Melton Davis.

As per Kathryn’s request no visitation or funeral services are being held.  A private family interment will be in Alexis Cemetery.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
