Kenneth worked for many years in the warehouse at Dick Blick Company in Galesburg, retiring after 44½ years of service. Family was very important to Kenny, and he rarely missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. Whether cheering on his granddaughter at volleyball, basketball, and softball games or supporting his grandsons on the baseball field, he was always a devoted fan. Kenny was also a dedicated supporter of United Athletics, continuing to attend many home games even after his granddaughter’s graduation. His unwavering support will be fondly remembered. Kenneth was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving Kenneth are his children, Scott Boyer of Monmouth, IL, Brenda Cornell of Alexis, IL; two grandsons, Jon & Brian Boyer, and his granddaughter, Kaylee Cornell; and brother and sister-in-law, Bill & Nancy Clayton of Monmouth, IL, and sister-in-law, Jackie Boyer of Clermont, FL.
