Louise Pratt, 95, of Berwick, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Henderson County Retirement Center, Stronghurst, IL.

She was born on June 10, 1931 in Berwick, IL, the daughter of Arthur L. and Ruth (Youngquist) Kirby. Louise was raised and educated in the Berwick and Cameron area and graduated from Roseville High School in 1949.

Louise married Duane A. Pratt, Sr. on August 12, 1950, in a ceremony held at the home of her parents in Berwick. Together they shared more than 73 years of marriage until his passing on June 1, 2024.

Louise was an Avon representative for 50 years. She also worked for several years at the Lamoine Christian Nursing Home in Roseville, where she assisted with resident activities and helped prepare meals. In addition, Louise worked alongside her husband on the family farm for many years, contributing to its daily operations.

A devoted member of Berwick Baptist Church, Louise faithfully taught Sunday school for many years. She found joy in reading, gardening, sewing, and baking. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Surviving Louise are her two sons, Duane, Jr. & Dianna Pratt of Berwick, IL, Richard & Martha Pratt of Eldridge, IA; four grandchildren, Zach & Selena Pratt of Clive, IA, Mark & Stephanie Pratt of Eldridge, IA, Sarah Pratt of Bettendorf, IA and Curt & Madison Pratt of Iowa City, IA. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Ryker Pratt, Henley Pratt, Addy Pratt, Aiden Pratt, Delainey Pratt, Vivienne Pratt, Isabella Pratt, Liam Pratt, Alex Wilson, and Dominic Wilson.

She was preceded in his death by her parents; her husband; one son, Gary Pratt; and her sister, Helen Fluke.

A private family graveside service will be at the Berwick Cemetery, Berwick, IL. No family visitation is planned but friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials can be made to the Berwick Baptist Church or the Henderson County Retirement Center in Stronghurst and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
