Lynn E. Maguire, 65, of Monmouth, IL formerly of Kildeer, IL and Piscataway, NJ passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at her home.
Lynn was born March 5, 1961, in Orange, NJ the daughter of Eugene and Virginia (Rohloff) Wolfe. She was raised and educated in Piscataway, graduating from Piscataway High School in 1979. She later earned a degree as a Registered Nurse from St. Peter’s Nursing School in New Brunswick, NJ.
Lynn married Michael S. Maguire on August 28, 1982, in New Brunswick and he survives.
Lynn’s main focus in life was raising and taking care of her family.
She was a member of Highpoint Church and an honorary member of Maple City Baptist Church both in Monmouth. One of her passions was designing and making special crafts, art projects and gifts, adding her special touches for family and her friends. She also enjoyed writing poetry, home decorating and was a huge fan of anything and everything related to pugs and butterflies. Her time in Monmouth was spent volunteering at the Highpoint Church Care Center and the Jamison Center. She also worked as a teacher’s aide at Lincoln Grade School; but her greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Maguire; 4 children, Michael W. Maguire, Kelli (Tyler) Postin, Shaylyn (Kevin) Virgilio and Thomas Maguire; 10 grandchildren, Natali, Keith, Bear, Ben, Colt and Wade Postin; Maggie, Vinny, Dominic and Mackenzie Virgilio; 3 sisters, Barbara (Cory) Zaneto, Nancy Marchu and Karen (Jim) Norton; several nieces, nephews and her beloved pug, Pepper.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Highpoint Church, 206 N. Sunnylane, Monmouth. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00-11:00 am at the church. Memorials may be given to Highpoint Church sent to the funeral home. An additional Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm, Friday, April 24, 2026. Please join the family for an evening of remembrance including dinner and drinks at the Knights Banquets, 365 Surryse Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
