Michael R. Roth

Michael R. Roth, 55, of Alexis, IL, passed away at 7:28 am, Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL.

He was born on October 15, 1963 in Aledo, IL, the son of James Richard and Carol Marguerite (Brewer) Roth.  Michael was raised and educated in Alexis and graduated from Alexis High School in 1981.

He married Mari Anne Christy in March of 1986 in Letts, IA; they later divorced.

Michael farmed for several years in the Seaton area; he also owned and operated Roth’s Welding and Fabrication in Alexis.  Michael enjoyed wood working, welding, and helping others when he could.  He always enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving Michael are two sons, Andy (Nikki) Roth of Dixon, IA, Aaron Roth of Tifton, GA; three grandchildren, Nora Roth, Olivia Roth, and Kason Roth;  his father, Dick Roth of Alexis, IL; two sisters, Debbie (Crescent) Burke of Springfield, IL, Julie (Pat) Hessler of Orion, IL; one brother, Scott (Amy) Roth of Galesburg, IL; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Carol Roth.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Alexis Presbyterian Church, Alexis, IL.  Interment will be in Candor Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church.  Memorials can be made to the Michael R.
