Michelle A. Hines

Michelle A. Hines, 61, of Prairie City, IL, formerly of Macomb, IL, passed away at 5:54 pm, Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Prairie City Rehab and Health Care Center.

Shelly was born January 7, 1957 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of William Ross and Patricia Ann (Egnor) Hines.

She was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Warren Achievement School.

Shelly worked for several years at Beth & Friends Thrift Store in Bushnell, IL.  She loved going shopping, out to dinner, having her nails done, and being out in the community.  She participated in Special Olympics in swimming, basketball, and track.  Shelly always enjoyed church and had been a greeter at Maple Avenue Christian Church in Macomb.

Survivors include her sister, Maureen “Mo” Kinkaid of Monmouth, IL; two brothers, Mike (Linda) Hines of Galesburg and Mark (Karen) Hines of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews, Brian Kinkaid, Bindy (Jay) Raymond, Kristy (Pete) Weigel, Kelly (Zach) Biel, Sara (Keith) Tesch, Melissa Hines, Adam (Amy) Hines, Hanna (Jeff) Alexander, and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  A private family interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials can be made to Prairie City Rehab and Health Care Center or Warren Achievement.
