Paul Milo Crandall Jr, loving husband, father, grandad, great grandad, brother and uncle, 82, of Monmouth, passed away at 2:44 PM, August 14, 2022, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 2, 1940 in Sikeston, Missouri, the son of Paul Milo Sr and Mary Maxine (Pratt) Crandall. He married Margaret Ilene Eaton on August 27, 1961 at the Berwick Baptist Church.
He is survived by his committed partner Rose Wetterling of Monmouth, IL; his children, Kevin Paul (Jalaine) Crandall of Lake St Louis, MO; Brian (Wendy) Crandall of Noblesville IN; DeNeene (Kevin) Killey of Berwick IL; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Issac) Bjerk, Tyler Paul Crandall, Ryan (Kailee) Crandall, Nicholas Crandall, Emily Margaret Crandall, Lauren Crandall, Kolton Killey, Sydney Killey, and Aubrey Killey; great grandchild Milo Hayes Bjerk; his brother Michael (Nora) Crandall of Port Charlotte, FL and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife, Margaret in 2015, and his great grandson Brennan Bjerk in 2012.
Paul graduated from Roseville High School in 1958 and attended Western Illinois University. He began his farming career in 1960 and farmed for over 40 years in Warren County raising corn, soybeans, hogs, and beef cattle. He lived outside Roseville on the family farm before moving to Monmouth in 2003.
He was active in the Avon Lions Club, the Warren County Fair Board, the Roseville School Board, and the Roseville Christian Church. He was also an active member of the First Christian Church in Monmouth. He was Seed Dealer for Great Lakes Hybrids and enjoyed traveling throughout America with the organization. He loved golf and spending his winters in Florida.
Funeral will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the First Christian Church of Monmouth. Burial will be in the Roseville Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory in Monmouth, IL. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Monmouth.
