Paul Medrano, 73, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 9:20 am, Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.
He was born on September 16, 1944 in Joliet, IL, the son of Walter and Dolores (Tobias) Medrano. Paul was raised and educated in Chicago.
Paul married Vicki Caldwell on December 19, 1987 in Crown Point, IN, she survives.
Paul worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad, Johnson-Brown Paint Store, Equipco, and for the last 20 years, he was a forklift operator at Rhodia Food Preservative Plant in Chicago, retiring in 2009. He was a member of Our Lady Guadalupe Church in Chicago, was an avid Chicago sports fan, he enjoyed the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks. Paul loved music, especially doo wop, rock & roll, and soul.
Surviving Paul is his wife, Vicki Medrano of Monmouth, seven children, thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four brothers, and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be from 3:00-6:00 pm, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the AmericInn in Monmouth. A private family burial at Monmouth Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to Monmouth Nursing Home.
