Randall W. Purtle

Randall William Purtle, 59, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:55 pm, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Monmouth Nursing Home with his girlfriend, Mary Kaye Altis, attentively by his side.

He was born February 13, 1958 in Monmouth, IL, the son of George William and Patricia Lee (Deeter) Purtle. Randy was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1976 and was an exceptional athlete in all sports.

Randy served 4 years in the United States Air Force.

Randy worked various employments before returning to his childhood home, Monmouth.

In his spare time he enjoyed golf and fishing.

Randy is survived by his children, Jeremy Purtle and Gabriel Purtle; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; his siblings, Robin Peoples, Timothy Purtle, Corinne Purtle; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Candor Cemetery, Mercer County, IL. Memorials can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.
