Raymond V. Lambert

Raymond V. Lambert, 68, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 7:28 a.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 at his home.

He was born on November 6, 1949 in Beardstown, IL, the son of Everette V. and Lena (Gladwell) Lambert. Raymond was raised and educated in Beardstown, IL.

Raymond was a Sargent in the United States Army, and served from 1968-1975.

He married Deborah A. Vanskike on June 6, 1986 in Burlington, IA, she survives.

Raymond worked at Farmland Foods in Monmouth for several years. He also worked at Mach 1 Boats in Monmouth. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving Raymond is his wife, Deborah A. Lambert of Monmouth; two daughters, Christina A. (Tim) Spitzer of Monmouth, Katina L. (Matthew) Jones of Monmouth; and sister, Linda Lambert of Oxford Junction, IA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Zachary Brewer, Tyler Williams, Olivia Spitzer, four sisters-in-law; Mary Hicks, Letha Hicks, Sharon Hicks, Mary Hicks, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers; Jack Hicks, Junior Hicks, Melvin Hicks, David Hicks, Robert Hicks, and sister, Janet Hicks.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private Family Graveside Services will be at Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
