Raymond “Bugsy” Reynolds, 90, of Oquawka, IL, passed away at 5:50 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home.
Bugsy was born April 17, 1927 in Englewood, CO the son of Manita Kleinkopf. He was raised and educated in Roseville, IL, graduating from Roseville High School in 1945.
He served with the United States Army during World War II.
Upon his return home Bugsy worked at Dale Watson Seed and Sporting goods in Roseville. He later worked as a Meat Cutter for Agar And Later Wilson Foods in Monmouth until he retired in 1986.
Bugsy loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed going to the casino. He was a member of the Monmouth VFW and American Legion and Elks Club in Monmouth.
Survivors include his sons, Kenneth (Nancy) Reynolds of Oquawka, IL and Gary Reynolds of Burlington; grandsons, Brandon Reynolds of Oquawka, Jamie Reynolds of Monmouth and Casey Reynolds of Roseville.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Thelma Schisler.
A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Raymond “Bugsy” Reynolds Memorial Fund.
