Roberta J. Davis

Roberta J. Davis, 68, of Cameron, IL, passed away at 9:18 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 at her home.

Roberta was born June 7, 1949 in Avon, Illinois the daughter of Clarence “Duke” and Shirley (Anderson) Tracey. She was raised and educated in Bushnell and attended Bushnell High School.

Roberta married Gary J. Davis, Sr. on April 27th, 1968 in Bushnell, IL and he survives.

She previously worked at Monsanto and Asgrow.

Roberta enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, reading her nieces’ books, word search puzzles and books. She especially loved attending and watching her grandchildren’s activities. She was a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Davis, Sr. of Cameron, IL; three Children, Gary (Bonita) Davis, Jr, of Bushnell, IL, Cindy (Jeff) Harshbarger of Cameron, IL, and Ernie (Tammy) Davis of Cameron, IL; three granddaughters, four grandsons, one great granddaughter and one great grandson; two brothers, Marvin (Nancy) Tracey and Gerald Tracey both of Ellisville, IL, several nieces and nephews that Roberta considered her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Cameron Fire Department. Arrangements are being handled by McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.
