Roberta C. Henry

Roberta C. Henry, 82, of Oquawka, IL, passed away at 6:29 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab, Stronghurst, IL.

She was born on February 18, 1935 in Fulton County, IL, the daughter of Wm. Russell and Dana E. (Taflinger) Graves. Roberta was raised and educated in Bushnell area.

Roberta married Keith Leon Henry in 1952.

Roberta worked as a cook at several area restaurants. She also worked at Applegate Nursing Home, Lamont LTD and drove a bus for the West Central School District until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to yard sales and the casino.

Surviving Roberta are her children; Brent (Cindy) Henry, Harvey (C.J.) Henry; daughter-in-law, Linda Henry all of Oquawka, IL, five grandchildren; Scott (Carol) Henry, Teresa Buffum, Kristi (David) Underwood, Josh Skidmore, Tennille (Nick Bigger) Henry; eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and her companion, Jack Henshaw of Oquawka. Also surviving are two sisters; Shirley Jackson of Lewiston, IL, Connie Dodson of Galesburg, IL, one brother; Gene Graves of Avon, IL and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Keith Henry, and one granddaughter, Kimberly Henry.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation and services are planned at this time.
