Steven F. Elliott

Steven F. Elliott, 74, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Steven was born December 15, 1951 in Peoria, IL, the son of Benjamin F. and Helen Marie (Potts) Elliott. He was raised and educated in Brimfield, and attended Brimfield High School.

He married Rae Ann Strickland in Elmwood, IL on September 24, 1977 and she preceded him in death on June 17, 2013.

Steven worked in construction as a young man, later working for Smithfield Foods in Monmouth until his retirement in 2015.

He liked to work on cars and lawn mowers and tinkering in his garage. He also enjoyed building models of all kind.

Survivors include his children, Benjamin Elliott, Jr. of Monmouth and Tina (Steve) Brownlee of Alexis; his five grandchildren, Mary Jane Elliott of Macomb, IL, Beau Elliott of Washington, IL, Katerina Brownlee, Jackie Brownlee and Billie Jo Brownlee all of Alexis; three brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, both sisters and his mother and father-in-law.

Cremation has been accorded. No visitation or services are planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the Steven Elliott Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
