Timothy P. “Tim” Schisler,67, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
Tim was born September 15, 1958, in Monmouth, IL the son of Robert E. “Buck” and Joann (Sage) Schisler. He was raised and educated in Monmouth.
Tim married Angie Huber at the Covered Bridge near Gladstone, IL on October 6, 2012, and she survives.
Tim was always self-employed doing construction and was also a heavy equipment operator. He owned and operated with Jay Cassiday Maple City Construction in Monmouth and later Maple City Excavating with his son Corey Campagna.
He loved playing pitch. He could be found most Sundays playing cards with the same group of guys for over to 40 years. He enjoyed college basketball. But his main hobbies centered around work, concrete, excavating, demolition and land clearing. Tim also loved his annual trips to Las Vegas. Tim had an ability to estimate jobs without the aid of tape measures or calculators, which earned him a nickname as the “Human Calculator”
Survivors include his wife, Angie Schisler of Monmouth; his son, Corey (Crystal Caracci) Campagna of Abingdon, IL; his daughter, Shannan (Sean Cassatt) Hurley of Kelseyville, CA; 4 grandchildren; his sisters, Carol Wolf and Gena (John Vellenga) Mettler both of Monmouth; his best buddy uncle, Gus Schisler and 2 aunts; 5 nephews and 1 niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Bradley Ray Schisler, Robert K “Bobby” Schisler and Jane Perdue.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, September 3, 2026, at McGuire & Davies Funeral and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation will take place following the gathering with a private family interment at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Tim Schisler Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
