Barbara Sue (Walton) Scheuermann

Barbara Sue Scheuermann, 71, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 2:55 pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home.

She was born June 16, 1947 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Arthur Follin and Olive Edith (Kelley) Walton.  She was raised and educated in Carthage, IL, graduating from Carthage High School.

Barbara married Ronald Scheuermann, they later divorced.

Barbara worked as an adult nanny and caregiver in the surrounding area for many years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies and doing word puzzles.  She loved spending time with her Costello Terrace family, going out to eat with friends and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sister, Kay Snyder of Massillon, OH and her brother, Pat Walton of Lyndon, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bobby Walton, Bill Walton, Marion Walton and Chris Walton; her sisters, Ruby Walton, Rena McIntyre, June Riley, and Ruth Ann Conover.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Costello Terrace, Monmouth with Rev. Jim Epperson officiating.  Cremation has been accorded.  Memorials may be given to the Barbara S. Scheuermann Memorial Fund. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
