Donna E. (Burkitt) Objartel

Donna E. Objartel, 79, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 5:04 pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

She was born February 8, 1939 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Russell O. and Helen D. (Gardiner) Burkitt.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1957.

Donna married George Hager and later married Robert C. Objartel in Rock Island, IL on April 8, 1973 and he passed away on February 5, 2008.

Donna worked for Brown Lynch Scott/Martha Brown Limited for 25 years.  She later worked for the Warren County Public Library for 20 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and puzzles.

Survivors include her daughter, Cris (Mike) Macklin of Monmouth, IL; her son, Ted (Lori) Objartel of Cumming, GA; 5 grandchildren, Brandon (Emily) Macklin of Bettendorf, IA, Mark Macklin of Duluth, MN, Sarah (Jared) Buckley of Monmouth, IL, Blake Objartel of Atlanta, GA and Jessica Objartel of Kennesaw, GA; 2 great grandchildren, Kaylie Macklin of Bettendorf, IA and Luke Buckley of Monmouth; 3 brothers, William Burkitt of Galesburg, IL, Daniel (Janice) Burkitt of Sterling, IL, and David (Starla) Burkitt of Montgomery, AL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 sisters, Karen Hull and Sara Jones and 2 infant sons

Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services will be 11:30 am, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday morning at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Warren County Public Library.
