Randy L Brown

Randy L. Brown, 61, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 2:52 pm, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL, surrounded by his family and friends.

Randy was born October 11, 1960, in Monmouth, IL the son of Clinton Lyle and Doris Hope (Heath) Brown.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1978.

He married Jacqueline Davis in 1978.  Randy later married Diane Albert on April 12, 2007, in Monmouth and she survives.

Randy worked at NEIR then worked as a silver brazier at Maytag for several years before working at John Deere as a welder.  He also worked as a self-employed contractor.

Randy was a Jehovah’s Witness. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed motocross, riding his Harley, fishing, boating and he loved all kinds of animals. He truly loved being with and surrounded by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Brown of Monmouth; his children, Randi Lynn Mitchell of Galesburg, IL, Josh (Tilliea) Brown of Galesburg, IL, Dee Mudd of Lebanon, MO, Dondi (Cindy) Mudd of Mountain Grove, MO, and Darrell (Danielle) Mudd of Council Bluffs, IA; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; his sister, Pamela Jern of Oquawka, IL; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death his parents.

Cremation has been accorded.  A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at 503 N. 12th Street Monmouth, IL 61462. Food will be provided. Memorials may be given to Western Illinois Animal Rescue (WIAR) and sent to the funeral home.
