Richard Allen Barry

Richard Allen Barry, 46, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 11:50 a.m. on March 26, 2021 at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY.

He was born June 7, 1974 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Danny Connerly and Goldie Barry. He was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1993.

Rich worked for Farmland Foods in Monmouth and GE Appliance in both Galesburg, IL and Louisville, KY.

Rich loved crafting and decorating. He enjoyed making wreaths and owned and operated “Adorable Wreaths by Rich.” More than anything he loved his animals.

Surviving Rich is his mother, Goldie Barry; 3 sisters, Tammy Barry, Vicki Connerly-Morss, Tammy Connerly-Engle; 1 brother, Danny Connerly; 7 nephews; 4 nieces; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, both grandfathers; grandmothers, Phyllis Barry and Sally Brewer and uncle Ronald Barry.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service is planned for April 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth, IL. A celebration of life will follow from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Monmouth American Legion, Monmouth, IL. Memorials may be made to the Richard Barry Memorial Fund and left in the care of the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
