Terrie Lynn (Jones) Simpson

Terrie Lynn (Jones) Simpson, 66, of Victor, IA, passed into eternal rest on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, IA.

She was born on September 2, 1954 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Donald and Hazel (Kent) Jones.  Terrie was raised and educated in Oquawka, IL and attended Henderson County Schools.

Terrie loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving Terrie is her son, Travis Dean (Wendy) Simpson; two grandchildren, Wesley James Simpson and Riley Lynn Simpson, all of Victor, IA.  Her sister, Connie (Terry) Shinberger of Oquawka, IL; her brother, Howard (Diana) Jones of Nebraska; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins from Illinois and Iowa.  Also surviving are her grand dogs, Molly & Ginger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Simpson; sister, Diane Hlas; niece, Dena Arens; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Mama’s Place (1002 North Seventh St, Oquawka, IL).  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to the Terrie Simpson Memorial Fund.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
