Tracey Lynne (Hume) Laws

Tracey Lynne Laws, 54, of Little York, IL, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, at the OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.

Tracey was born February 4, 1966 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Raymond Jr. and Sandra Kay (Maney) Hume. She was raised and educated in Kirkwood graduating from Yorkwood in 1984.

She married Robert Laws on September 18, 1993 in Kirkwood, IL and he survives.

Tracey worked as a Direct Support Professional with Hope Haven Development Center in Burlington, IA for 10 years. She enjoyed crafting, painting, flea markets, yard sales and scentsy parties. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Alex W. Laws (Brianna Martin) of New Windsor, IL; daughters, Hidi (Keith) Patrick of Gerlaw, IL, Molli (Rusty) West of Wataga, IL; 4 grandchildren, Jozzlynne, Brereton, Gracelynne and Ashton as well as Ava (on the way); 2 brothers, Scott (Amy) Hume of Monmouth, IL, Stoney (Vicky) Hume; 1 sister Lori (Rick) Nelson of Roseville, IL. Special friends Ora May Siens, Tom, David and Jacquelyn Moore. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Tabbi Shane Weldon.

Open calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Friends are welcome to call on the family from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 1010 East 10th Avenue Monmouth on Monday, January 4, 2021 as well. Cremation rites will be accorded following calling hours. Memorials may be made to the Tracey Lynne Laws Memorial Fund.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all attendees must wear a mask and social distance.
